Homemade White Claw

Homemade White Claw

White Claw is basically a hard seltzer and it has officially won the summer of 2019, such that we now we find ourselves in a shortage. So let's learn how to make this home so you can get your fix, and since we're now in Fall, how about a pumpkin spice White Claw?



Equipment

  1. Cocktail set (includes Boston shaker, jigger, bar spoon, hawthorne strainer, muddler)

  2. Angled measuring jigger

  3. Highball glasses

  4. Carbonator


Mango White Claw

  • 10oz (300ml) cold water

  • 1.5oz (45ml) vodka

  • .5oz (15ml) mango juice

  • 1g citric acid

  1. Add all ingredients to a carbonator

  2. Carbonate until… carbonated

  3. Pour into a collins glass and enjoy


Grapefruit White Claw

  • 9.5oz (280ml) cold water

  • 1.5oz (45ml) vodka

  • 1oz (30ml) strained grapefruit juice

  • .5g citric acid

  1. Add all ingredients to a carbonator and carbonate

  2. Pour into a collins glass


Pumpkin Spice White Claw

  • 10.5oz (320ml) cold water

  • 1.5oz (45ml) vodka

  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice syrup (recipe below)

  1. Add all ingredients to a carbonator and carbonate

  2. Pour into a collins glass

Pumpkin Spice Syrup

  • 1.5 cups (300g) demerara sugar

  • 1.5 cups (350ml) water

  • 4 cinnamon sticks (or 1 tsp. cinnamon, or a combination thereof)

  • 1½ tsp. ground ginger

  • ½ tsp. ground nutmeg

  • 1 tsp. ground cloves

  • ¼ cup canned pumpkin

  1. Add sugar and water to a sauce pan and bring to a boil

  2. Remove from heat and add spices and canned pumpkin

  3. Let simmer for 10 minutes

  4. Cool for 20 minutes and strain through a nut milk bag or cheese cloth

  5. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks
